A Lawrenceburg man was jailed Monday after he reportedly fled from law enforcement officers during a traffic stop.

Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that Justin Scott Blake, 22, of 308 Buffalo Road was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing and evading arrest.

Deputies report conducting a traffic stop on Blake’s vehicle along Windsor Drive. They report that when the car stopped, he jumped out and fled into a nearby wooded area. Although deputies conducted a search of the area, they were unable to locate Blake at that point.

Reports show that deputies made their way to Blake’s home where they found him, “sitting on the couch, sweating and scratched up.”

During the incident deputies were notified that Blake’s name appears on the Lawrence County Housing Authority’s “no trespass” list. It was in this area that the traffic stop had been made.

Blake was booked through the Lawrence County Detention Center where an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court was scheduled for June 19, 2012.

Police officers were summoned to intervene after a mother and daughter became involved in an altercation while “celebrating” Mother’s Day.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to 408 Second Street around 11:45 p.m. Sunday where they spoke with the mother, 46, daughter, 28, and a male victim, age 46.

The mother and daughter reported they had eaten at a Mexican restaurant earlier that evening, then went to the Owl’s Nest bar, for their Mother’s Day celebration. After consuming “too much alcohol” the women report they called for the male victim to drive them home.

The women said that during the drive the mother, who was seated in the front passenger seat, turned to her daughter, seated in the rear passenger seat, and stuck her finger in her mouth. The daughter said she took this to be an offensive move and bit down.

The women told officers they began to fight, scratching one another’s necks and pulling hair. At one point, the mother reportedly head-butted the driver on the right cheek bone because he refused to pull over. Officers noted the action resulted in visible redness and swelling.

As a result of the investigation the mother, Stella Annice Hudson, was arrested on two counts of domestic assault and transported to the Lawrence County Jail without further incident. She was scheduled an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court of June 1, 2012.

Law enforcement officers were summoned to intervene late last week after a resident reported a local animal advocate was trespassing on her property.

Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were summoned to the Tina Street home shortly after 10:00 a.m. The resident reported that she had been in court recently for allowing her cats to roam about the neighborhood.

In court, she said the judge had instructed her to find new homes for the cats. Should she need assistance, the judge told her she should work with the animal advocate.

The victim told deputies that the animal advocate came to her home Friday morning, asking about the cats. When she told her she had already found homes for the cats, the victim said the animal advocate began to ask about any dogs on the premises.

The victim told deputies the animal advocate demanded that she hand over puppies, even though she had none. She said the woman claimed she had a court order authorizing her to take the puppies, but said that she refused to show the order to her.

The victim told deputies that the animal advocate demanded she be allowed to search inside her residence for any puppies. She said the woman continued to attempt to intimidate her, even after she was ordered to leave. Deputies note that the woman had left prior to their arrival.

Deputies report they spoke with officials at the judge’s office and were told that she had issued no order regarding dogs. Neither, they said, had she issued an order requiring the victim to work with the animal advocate. They said it had only been a recommendation.

Investigation into the matter is currently on-going.

Become a family ambassador for the U.S. and promote cultural tolerance and acceptance! It is only through the kindness and generosity of families like yours that international teens will be able to enjoy an experience of a lifetime.

You and your family have the opportunity to build bridges among cultures of the world. Volunteering makes family relationships stronger and teaches kids values such as kindness, empathy and respect for others. Perhaps even more important, it teaches that happiness is not dependent on what we have, but instead on what we experience.

American hosts provide daily meals, room, and caring environment in return for a lifetime of friendship! P.I.E. accepts single parents, retired couples, families with children, or no children.

The students are prescreened, speak English, come with their own spending money, have medical insurance and will attend local high school.
